Recently we engaged Excelas to assist us with trial preparation. Their team brainstormed with us to create the theme for the case and worked with us to develop our presentation strategy. They helped prepare our witnesses to testify by posing questions and discussing answers. They coached us in jury selection by helping to define the ideal juror profile, and suggested questions to ask potential jurors to determine if the candidate would be a good fit. In reviewing the medical records, Excelas advised us about what to emphasize in our presentation, what to highlight from the charts, and what to enlarge for exhibits.

Excelas then physically converted 15,000 records from old manila folders in hanging files inside old fashioned file cabinets, to newly designed jackets and labels inside a rolling file management system. The team of records experts compared files, merged the records sets on site quietly, professionally and with minimal interruptions. Excelas directed us to suppliers who could get us the most cost efficient filing materials and storage system. The overall process was very cost effective at approximately $3 per record.

The second project was an emergency need: a major data retrieval project. We found that our records were noncompliant with state requirements due to missing data. Short on staff and time, we knew Excelas had the record management expertise to help us fill the data holes. Together we came up with a process to gather the data and enter it into an electronic system. Help Me Grow identified eight contracted service provider agencies for Part C services and hundreds of individual files with missing data, flagged the information that was missing, gave Excelas the contractors' contact information and asked the firm to gather the data. In a week and a half, Excelas came back with the missing information. Help Me Grow updated the system and we met state requirements.
